Here at Household Logistics, homemaking and the preciousness of home are very much the focus.
Homelessness is an unfortunate issue, in these challenging times, that many are increasingly facing. The fear of being homeless touches the hearts and minds of many, and homelessness is a subject that needs a little more attention and reflection from us all.
In the latest video over at the Household Logistics Youtube Channel, I share thoughts and reflections in response to another online content creator recently sharing transparently about worries around their own housing situation. Regardless of what created their circumstance, facing homelessness is still primarily what needs to be urgently addressed going forward for this person.
Please consider watching this video in order to reflect on what role does practising humanity have around homelessness.
Do only those who we ourselves deem worthy of safe, dry housing deserve to be housed?
Do only those that we ourselves deem successful and not failures, according to our own code of success, deserve to be able to have a place to call home?
Do we ourselves secretly hold a quiet unconscious bias that those who find themselves homeless DESERVE to remain under that very hardship, without any outside assistance to lift them out of that very pit and trench?
Please watch this latest video and reflect on it's contents. The reflections that came to my own mind, whilst out working in the garden, made me also do some conscious processing and pondering of homelessness and the practising of humanity.
A link to a GoFundMe campaign is also included in the video's description, for those who would like to consider also practising a little humanity, (without judgment or assumption), to help a elderly couple who currently need assistance to gather funds to seek their next home.
