Intelligence, Health & Well-being..... They All Rely on JOY!

WHAT IS A SOURCE OF JOY FOR YOU RIGHT NOW?

As I sit typing out this blogpost, the family dog sits curled up beside me. She came into our lives as a rescue. She needed us and we in turn needed her.

I have numerous happy memories all associated with this ginger coated canine. She loves to do zoomies when she get too full of energy and has been perhaps resting on the couch for a little too long. She will start prancing around and getting somewhat overly excited if she sees this 50+ year old mama dancing a silly dance to some music in the lounge (and she will want to join also!). She will put her nose down and track me, from one end of the property to another, if she cannot see me and wonders, "Mmmmm, where has Mum gone now?"

My personal research into the significance of dopamine as an essential neurotransmitter within the human brain tells me that consciously seeking out, and acknowledging regularly through out the day, what gives one joy goes a long way to help the human brain actively generate new neuropathways; NO MATTER HOW OLD WE ARE.

Consciously choose to use your senses to send imprints of sources of joy to your brain.

That ginger canine resting beside me, has fur that is soft & fine to touch. Her smell is familiar and therefore a source of comfort. When she lets out a sigh it is soft, yet deep, telling me she feels very relaxed.

We can use our senses to aid imprinting regularly on the human brain memories & experiences of things that are sources of joy, and therefore sources of positive, constructive dopamine.

If you think of dopamine as being a linking, essential red LEGO block that has to turn up repeatedly along a neural pathway, it can help be a good visual to guide your mind to see how valuable the habit of consciously acknowledging what are sources of daily joy is.

Start a JOY JOURNAL if need be! Do whatever will help you develop the habit of seeking out and activating joy being present for you every single day!

Positive, joyful experiences and daily memories will literally help your brain link building blocks together to build what you dream of bringing to be!

Joy....................... it is an essential component to actual intelligence, as well as health and well-being. ACTIVELY GRAB HOLD OF JOY TODAY!

Feel free to leave a comment acknowledging what has been a simple, yet positive source of joy for you today.
